Ferrari has released new photos and more details of the Ferrari 458 Italia
Much of the new detail focuses on the interior of the 458, which we did get to see in the video (sort of), but Ferrari chose to not release pictures when the first news came in on the 458. Ferrari have revised the whole cockpit experience quite extensively. Gone are the column stalks, to be replaced by buttons on the steering wheel for indicators, full beam, flash and wipers.
BMW is taking a calculated risk by installing an automatic stop/start system on its best seller, the 3-series, for 2012. The new F10M-spec M5 is downsizing from the E60's 5.0-litre V10 for the same 550bhp 4.4 litre twin-turbo V8 found in the X5M and X6M. But rather than the torque convertor autos used by the SUV pair, the new motor is mated to a beefed-up version of the the seven-speed M-DCT double-clutch transmission currently serving in the M3.
